Della Can Fly! (2025)
Della Can Fly! is short folkloric fantasy film, that explores the importance of family preservation, discovering the magic that lives within black oral histories and family archives–using flight as a metaphor of freedom and self-awareness. This art piece engages with cultural preservation, modernizing the Black folklore, The People Could Fly, and Faith Ringgold’s Tar Beach. Recently, the film premiered at the BlackStar Film Festival and is now entering the film circuit.
